Monday we took it easy in Georgetown, a pretty part of town that has the feeling of a much smaller place than it actually is. Strolling around the two main streets is a lot of fun and the waterfront view across to the Kennedy Center is no slouch either. Taking it easy doesn't mean we're not sweating though since the heat and humidity are pretty intense. Now we just have to see how we cope in Miami. We'll probably maintain a pattern of walking around for a few minutes at a time, only to duck into the nearest shop or mall just to enjoy some air conditioning.
Á mánudaginn tókum við því rólega í Georgetown, fallegum bæjarhluta þar sem manni líður eins og í smábæ þrátt fyrir stærðina. Það er hin besta skemmtun að rölta um tvær helstu göturnar og útsýnið yfir ánna að Kennedy Center er ekkert slor. Þó svo við tökum því rólega þá svitnum við eins og svín því hitinn og rakinn hérna eru ansi yfirþyrmandi. Það verður fróðlegt að sjá hvernig við höndlum Miami. Mjög líklega höldum við áfram að rölta um í nokkrar mínútur í senn og stökkva þess á milli inní næstu búð eða verslanamiðstöð til þess að nýta okkur loftkælinguna.
